prints: after you choose the photos you like please send me an email with the following information: the names of the photographs you are interested in, the size, the address they are to be sent to. I will check if they are available (in a very small number of cases the pictures are not available, or available only in the smallest size - if I only have the digital file of 600kB, for instance, then I will be unable to make the print larger than 10x15cm) and confirm in a reply and will supply the information about the bank account to which the payment for the pictures will be sent.

As soon as I receive the confirmation that the payment has arrived I will start processing the order: It takes 2-3 days to print the images, and 3-5 days to send them. After that, it depends, I send the prints by air mail, they take 4-10 working days to arrive, depending on the destination.
Matt or gloss finish - to be chosen by customer. The matt finish reduces glare (as pictures are not so shiny) and is said to look more 'artistic' whereas the glossy finish gives deeper, more saturated colours. Both finishes are fine and are a matter of personal taste.
The default finish of the prints I make will 'gloss' unless the customer specifies otherwise.
The sizes of prints are given in inches and show the sizes of paper, not the size of the photograph. The sizes of photograph and paper usually do not match (see example below), in such cases I will crop the images accordingly. Example:

The logic behind this is that I want you to buy my photographs for promotion of your products or projects, not for them to BECOME your products.
I sell my pictures myself and would like to continue doing this, selling/giving them to others you would be taking this right from me.
The above restriction is pretty much standard and can be found in licenses or contracts of most photo agencies.
Also, when purchasing my pictures you are buying the right to use them, not buying the pictures themselves. The copyright stays my property.

Not all photographs can be purchased. In some cases the images shown in the photos are protected by trademarks, for example buildings, art, even people. Some photographs are not available due to technical reasons. Should you choose such a photograps in my reply I will explain the reason why the image can not be purchased and will try to offer another option.
My photographs of people DO NOT have signed model releases. That means that the images of people can not be used for commercial purposes.
What is means is - they can, for instance, be used in an article about China, but can not be used for promotion of chinese produsts.
I understand that this limits the use of my images, however, the language barrier and my often long and ultimately fruitless attempts to explain why I needed the model releases caused me to waste several good photo opportunities. Because of this I decided to (for the time being) stop attempting to get the model release.
I do not license any of my images for free.
I also do not make them available in exchange for a link-back to my website.
Using my photographs for private projects (private websites, school reports, etc) will probably be free of charge, in all cases, however, my prior consent will always be necessary - please send me an email detailing your intended project.

A: I don't. As a matter of fact I think that the price is fairly low. I photograph in my free time, using my own energy and cost, and a lot of work. The photographs are offered as Royalty Free, that means that once you pay you will be able to use them for an unlimited period of time and in any way you want (with certain restrictions - see above). Compared to prices offered by big agencies, whose prices have to pay for rent of office space, personnel, overheads, etc (my office is in my computer and several CD-Roms) I think that my prices are not high at all.
Q: A thousand pictures is available on your website, what problem is it to take them and use them without paying?
A: True, there are quite a few pictures on my website (and many many more coming soon) but this is the best way to present them. As for copying and using them for free - the average size of these pictures (files) is 25kB, this is way too little to do anything with them. For instance, to print a postcard-sized photograph you need a file of about 500kB - twenty times as much as what is available on the website. Because of this the range of uses (without my permission) is very limited. Also, my website is protected with 'right-click disabled' option that prevents downloading, also, most of my images are watermarked.
Q: Do you offer discounts if I decide to buy a bigger number of photographs?
A: Definitely. I will be able to give more information after receiving your detailed query.
